In collaboration with TV2 Danmark, Mediability has created the first NDI-based study for TV2 News in Christiansborg. The result – a studio that is very flexible and with high availability of lines and resources.
The fact that the studio is based on NDI technology is part of TV2’s new strategy. A strategy to apply the NDI technology to secondary production units – referred to as Islands. Here, Mediability could make our knowledge and experience with NDI-based solutions available in our collaboration with TV2.
The solution is based on NDI and Dante. Sienna ensures the virtual routing in the network across locations, in cooperation with Sienna Processing Engine and AJA NDI Bridge. Switching in the network is based on 4250 switches from Netgear.
Today, TV2 has a fully network-based setup in Christiansborg, combined with a mobile connection solution. A solution that makes it fully possible to make productions from both Odense and Teglholmen, with great flexibility and top quality.
